Easy Rolled Christmas Sugar Cookies

Easy Christmas Sugar Cookies

These cookies are quick and easy to whip up. Add your own frosting and sprinkles for a traditional fun Christmas activity.

  • 3/4 cup butter softened
  • 3 oz cream cheese room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups flour all purpose


  • In the bowl of electric mixer or stand mixer beat the butter and cream cheese on medium for 30 seconds.
  • Add sugar, baking powder and salt. Beat until combined, scraping sides occasionally.
  • Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix until combined.
  • Add as much of the flour as you can with mixer. Use a spoon or spatula to add remaining flour.
  • Divide dough in half. Wrap in plastic, shaping dough into a log. Chill for at least 4 hours.
  • On a well floured surface, roll out dough to approx. 1/4 inch thick. Use your favorite cookie cutter shapes to create cookies.
  • Bake in a 375° oven for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  • Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute, then transfer to a wire cooling rack.
