4ouncesGhirardelli semi sweet chocolate baking bar
½cupunsalted buttercut into pieces
1cupbrown sugarpacked
1teaspoonvanilla extract
2large eggs
¾cupall purpose flour
2 tablespoonsGhirardelli 100% cocoa powder
¼teaspoonbaking powder
½teaspoonsalt
½cupGhirardelli 60% bittersweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare an 8 inch square pan.
Melt chocolate bar and butter together over barely simmering water. Cool to room temperature.
Stir in brown sugar and vanilla.
Add eggs and mix well.
Sift together flour, baking powder,cocoa powder and salt. Fold into batter.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool before cutting.
Notes
This recipe is sized for an 8x8 inch square baking dish. If you use a larger dish, the brownies will be thinner. (But still delicious!)For crispy edge brownies, bake for 30-35 minutes. Allow brownies to cool completely before cutting.
